What were the last two non-food things that you brought home, colubra?
Er, a 5th of Stoli Vanil and a Storm Constantine novel.

(the link above brought to my attention by postmaudlin, who is lovely, charming, and soon to be available wherever fine books are sold)

  • what? stoli isn't food?
  • yeah. for me, it was a bottle of wine and laure's writings.

    i kid you not.

hey -- when do i get to see you? it's been too damned long.
    • I'm free this weekend: was thinking about toddling out the door on Saturday to see how many sheets to the wind I could get.
      Suggestions on destination?
      • hmm... not at the moment.

i'm going to go to the guerrilla formal tomorrow night at embarcadero, and i'm not sure what after that.

        give a ring?

The average income in SF is $70,000? Jesus.
    • Re: t.rev

by some definition of 'average' that seemingly doesn't include me or anyone I know.
  • For me it was floss, and an appliance bulb to replace the spare that I took to work to replace the burnt out one in the fridge in the snack cube.
  • I didn't know you lived here.
I saw that in the paper this morning. Then I was watching two hours' worth of "Law & Order: SVU" on Channel 11 and they kept using it as a teaser: "Guess what two things do San Franciscans buy more than anyone else? You might be doing both right now! We'll tell you at 11." I kept yelling back at the TV: "Alcohol and books! Alcohol and books!!" but it didn't listen. And I don't know who reads and watches "Law & Order" at the same time. That's quite a bit of multitasking.
    • yes. I am in San Francisco. I am never home, though. ;)

and bah. Stupid teasers. I wave my stoli at them.
