I'd forgotten how often we saw Magritte

People ask me 'what DO you see in David Bowie?'
No, really. There are people out there who do not understand the fact that he is simply wow.

To them I present:

That is all, really, that needs to be said.
  • (no subject) -
    • Well, the striped bikini photo is astonishing, but-- this one just makes me do jellyfish imitations.
  • My God---you mean, there are people out there who DON'T like David Bowie?? I refuse to believe that!

    What is WRONG with them?
  • It's those come-hither, you-gonna-eat-that eyes.
  • ...Mmm.
  • How could anyone NOT adore David Bowie? I thought we eradicated that resistance cell long ago. Infidels!
  • Look at that *face*!

    so elegant and waiflike.

Not to mention the man can sing and dance like nobody's business.

Ah, colubra, I would drop him through your skylight for real if only I could. He deserves someone to adore him with reverence.

  • I read somewhere, and I'm going to have to paraphrase because I don't remember the exact words of what he said, but the gist is, you all know he seems to reinvent himself every so often, and nowadays, he looks back and dislikes the men he used to be. Or something like that. I'm trying to remember the context of it as well, but just that kernel stuck with me. I was a bit taken aback because of well, having liked him so much during the 1970s and even some of the 1980s. He was the icon of asexual sensuality.

David Bowie is on the list of folks that I wanted to meet but didn't when I was in the music business. I did play with Earl Slick on occasion, but that's as close as I got.
  • I would have used a photo of him from Labyrinth myself, but...
  • Yum.
