So a thought occurred to me:
Straight couples have little discussion required about who's doing what to whom. There's an emphatic 'this is how it plays, homey' about who's putting what in where; if you want to vary from that (and good on you if you do!), there's discussion to be had. But most people won't vary.

Gay couples? It's a negotiation every night. Maybe I don't feel like giving head tonight. Maybe I just don't want to fuck your ass senseless tomorrow night. Is that something wrong with you? no. Might it take a good bit of coercing to get that across? yes.

Chripes, no wonder a lot of older gay men seem so lonely.

    • Discrimination is all about JUDGING people for their shortcomings per your arbitrary median.

      Buying gluten-free pasta because a friend's coming by is not being discriminatory; it's simply considerate.
      • But I mean - how do you know what gluten-free pasta is like until you are forced by friendly necessity to try it? You could be missing out on a transformative culinary experience!
        • Speaking as someone who can only eat gluten-free pasta due to celiac disease ... no, no he isn't. Unless the transformation is "why this is more al dente than uncooked regular pasta?"
          • Yeah- I've had it, and given the choice of which I could share, I'll take the 'regular' pasta. That said, though, I've had some lovely dishes with it in, and enjoyed them quite a bit as well... once I figured out why the pasta was acting different in my mouth.

              I think my own disgust may have to do with my background. I am Italian-American and, pre-gluten-free-diet, ate a LOT of pasta, wonderful homemade gluteny goodness. Nothing can compare.

              Also, I suck at cooking gluten-free pasta. I am always boiling it 30 seconds too little or too much. So that probably has a lot to do with it.
