Gar Marriage???
A friend of mine's getting hitched recently and he mentioned what his choice of music was ('Still Alive' from the videogame that features portals). This is his choice of what should be played while the cake's being cut.
Off the cuff I came up with what I'd choose as far as music goes: Elvis Costello's 'I'd Wear It Proudly'.

If you aren't sure what that song entails, the lyrics are here.
  • I feel a need to apologize to Mr Costello now, because I am very tired and somehow misread this before clicking through to the lyrics and thought it was a Smiths song instead. Which makes it sound *totally different* in my head.

I have debated using karaoke/instrumental versions of certain songs so I don't have to explain the lyrics to anyone's grandmother, or explain why I would like to play a song in which everybody dies at the end, like the Clash's Rebel Waltz.

    • That would be a great idea, and brings me to the existence of the string quartet tribute to the smiths album, which is... surprisingly good.
