[02:12] andstillitmoves: how much do you know about fixing windows?
[02:15] colubra: Not much at all. What's up?
[02:16] andstillitmoves: windows is not recognising my dvd-rom drive
[02:17] colubra: oh THAT fixing windows.
[02:17] andstillitmoves: yah
[02:17] colubra: I was assuming 'pieces of glass hanged such that they stand as barrier between inside and outside'.

My god, not leaping to the conclusion of 'the OS' in response to 'fixing windows' was kind of liberating.
  • That was my first thought, too.
  • I have worked in an all-Microsoft salt mine lo these past fifteen years and still my first thought was of the building aperture and not the OS. It's your friend's fault for not capitalizing the W.
    • And furthermore: everybody knows that one cannot "fix" Windows. Thus and so.
