Two gentlemen (and a lady) in Verona

Today, went to Verona with the Usual Suspects to meet up with the father of the one usual suspect and his second wife, to get squired around the town. Today I touched:
1: a Roman coliseum
2: a medieval church
3: a rococo pipe organ
4: a renaissance icon of christ
5: a modern statue of a local historian of note

Also saw the alleged home of Juliet (you know: Romeo and ____), which was a 13th century roadhouse that the Verona city council tacked a balcony onto. Also saw the Castle Vecchio and walked around on it, walked around on the attached bridge, finally saw my first scooter (okay, saw a LOT of them), ate tiramisu, finished acquisition of a few souvenirs for a few folks (everybody, I think), and shuffled the terribly uncomfortable mattress I'd been sleeping on into the rollaway.
Also found Chartreuse V.E.P. for 130 Euros, which is coming home with me.
Oh, and doubled the photographs I'd taken.

A busy day. I plan on sleeping like a corpse in a wee bit.
  • (no subject) -
    • I had every intention of sharing the VEP.

And fun is being had, and I have thought of you repeatedly on this trip. After all, before GETTING to Italy, most of my impressions thereof were formed by you.

Your souvenir request was too easy. You have about 36 hours to make your souvenir request for Venice more complicated.
    • I've been to that balcony as well.

Romeo would have had to have been in a helicopter to see Juliet up there.
  • Wow. Sounds like a wonderful day. Real Italian tiramisu, hmm? Yummy.

Followed are obligatory noises for photo viewings. :)

  • ... ciao.
