I'd forgotten how often we saw Magritte

I like 'em black-haired.
I like 'em lithe.
I like 'em...er... rather like Jonathan Rhys-Meyers looks done up as Elvis.

Words cannot contain the sheer colorfulness of my pleasedness.
  • (no subject) - lyricagent
  • The picture on that page for some reason reminds me of Morrisey.
    • Memphis blood, Natchez heart, this I'm made of
There is no-one on earth I'm afraid of...
  • That's just messing with my head in FAR too many ways.

I've always thought Jonathan Rhys Meyers was unbelievably gorgeous.

I've always thought Elvis was the epitome of obnoxious lowbrow dreck, the icon of redneck sexist pigs with the collective IQ of crotch fungus.

The mere concept of JRM as Elvis is pure distilled "WhoWhaHow?"

The images just add a whole new order of magnitude to the "BUH?"
    • Now add the fact that Elvis was apparently a fan of Monty Python, on the magnitude of frequently quoting his favorite sketches, like "wink wink, nudge nudge". Who'da thunk it?
      • Get OUT! *gobsmacked*

P.S. Adore the fuck out of your icon.
        • Thanks, I spent FAR more time on it in PhotoShop than is healthy. Though considering I even had the inspiration for it, I'm clearly a terminal case already.
    • Elvis in the 50s and 60s? QUITE the handsome hunk of manflesh.

      He just aged bad.
      • Well, yeah.

Part of the BUH??? is how much he manages to actually resemble young-and-sneery-and-still-not-grotesque Elvis.
        • Come to think of it, I haven't had this level of casting "BUH?" since I first heard of Tom Cruise as Lestat.

Bastard made that work, too. Major headfuckage ensued.
          • I had the same reaction, Sinny. The exact same reaction.

How're ya doing, BTW? Pop on Yahoo every once in a while and let me know how you are.
    • That's just about what I was going to say. It's rather distressing and disturbing to have a hottie dress up as someone you don't like and make it sexy somehow.

I'm sure it's just the magic of Rhys-Myers that can make bloody anything sexy, even a greasy pompadour. But I don't want to hurt my bruised psyche any further by trying to picture him in something even more revolting than Elvis drag.
  • Oh hell yeah.
  • I rather agree with shadowfey. He does kind of remind me of a very young Morrissey. Early Smiths years.

    But dayum, he beautiful.;)

  • Twice in 24 hours you give me squee. <3
