We have TWO local viewing options, I just found out:
you can either
A: go to the Castro Theatre premiere, or
B: go to the Camera Cinemas showing, the next evening, at midnight, down at the Camera 7 Pruneyard (which is, if memory serves, down in the south bay).

So some who have voiced they dont' waaaaannaaaa drive ALL THAT WAY TO SEE A MOVIE can fucking drive half of it to see it, the next day, at midnight.
Ya whining shits.
  • ooh! i just saw the prievews for that before 'party monster' last night. do you mind if i tag along if you wind up seeing it at the castro?
    • By all means!

I'd every intention of seeing it at the Castro, myself: I knew people who were whinging about the DREADFUL DRIVE from Redwood City... who don't seem to think of a similar distance SOUTHWARDS as being a terrible drive.

You and the warpanda, or just you?
      • Re: By all means!

wonderful! i'm looking forward to it even more now.

i can understand whining about the parking in the castro, but distance? *furrows brow, stares intently at imaginary odometor* oh well.

yes, i asked warpanda, and he's interested too. i can get passes to films @ the castro; i'm not sure if they're good for opening nights, though. is this something you'd like me to look into?
        • Re: By all means!

...wow, yeah, if you can get passes, see how many you can get. ;)
          • Re: By all means!

i talked to one of my co-workers yesterday who also works at the theater. he said if the premier was beig organized by the castro (and not the studio or other organization) then opening night passes should be fine. i can probably get three, maybe four, but i'll know better closer to opening night.
