Plus: the new Queens of the Stone Age album, titled 'Songs For The Deaf', is an interesting album. I really like it.
Minus: the stupid fucking label copyprotected it so completely that I can't play it on a computer- and therefore can't play it at work.

Review: bootleg it. DO NOT pay for it.
  • Several of those copy protection schemes can be outfoxed by running around the outer rim of the disc with -- I kid you not -- a Sharpie. Or so I'm told...

    -- Lorrie

  • Not that I would know anything about this, but the copy protection is likely to be on the first track of the disk. You can see it when you hold it up to the light. Black out that inside ring, and it should play on your computer.

If not, you can always take advantage of the music studio in the back of my house. We can load the CD into ProTools, edit out the copy protection, and burn all the copies we want.

    Hypothetically speaking.
    • It is possible that programs that the RIAA are trying to get outlawed are another source here, I'm finding.
  • Ring Around the CD...

Surprising how easy this was to fix.
