1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short?
Sort of wavy-curly, naturally.

2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime?

let's see... down to the bottom of the ears when I was a wee sprog; then short and kinda styleless; then a mullet (it was 1982. EVERYONE had mullets.); then a mohawk that was dyed various colors (most often a very deep purple that wound up on all the bedclothes) and hairsprayed a lot-- also often was ironed to get it to stay vertical; then the 80s A-line-bob-for-boys (complete with a skinny braided tail!), often peroxided and/or hennaed into something like reddishness; then bangs down past my chin with the rest short; then combed forward; and now clippered very, very short, what's left of it.

3. How do your normally wear your hair?
Very, very short.

4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like?
If we're talking change within reason- I'd probably not do a damn thing. If we're talking change regardless of genetics, physics, &c, I'd have bangs again.

5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened?

Many. Someone with a great deal of eastern european blood and a great deal of welsh blood should never, ever ever ever, bleach his hair blond, for instance. I also lost the mohawk when I bleached it too long and fried it off my head, basically. that wound up with me going to school the next day with my hair completely shorn to the scalp... The End Of The Mohawk. I still am saddened to recall this.
  • all i can say is that my life is a succession of 'bad hair days.'
    • I know this feeling.

Did you know you could have a bad hair day with only 1/2" of hair on your head? but you can, it's true!
  • now there's a concept hard to grasp! i wanna see pix.
    • I sleep very heavily, which means I stay in place all night, on one side. My hair's very fine. So what I get is this sort of... ridge, along my skull, where the pillow's pressed it out all night. Short of completely soaking my hair, there's NO way to get rid of it.
  • Oh yes, my boyfriend often does. His hair is on average a half-inch to one inch in length (and also wavy-curly when it gets much longer), and incredibly thick; if he sleeps on one side through an entire night, he gets a flattened nearly bald-spot-looking whorl on the side of his head, which defies correction by all but a long involved shower and/or the strongest hair gel available.
