FUCK the interview 'meme'. Seriously. Fuck that stupid noise. What, I don't have enough to read that I need to read what fucktardia wants to know about asswipe? I DON'T CARE.
Let's make this crystal-clear, for those of you without politesse about posting thousands of words publically:

I REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR SO-CALLED INTERVIEW MEME. GREAT, YOU HAVE A INTERVIEW TO DO? POST IT BEHIND AN LJ CUT. POST IT FRIENDSLISTED. BUT STOP ACTING LIKE I CARE.

I DON'T.

And I just ate up half as much space with that as you idiots keep eating up of my friends page answering questions and answers over which I burn and roil with apathy.

Got it?
  • You're just saying that because you're jealous. :P
  • 1) Why don't you care?
    2) Don't you think that other people are really super-duper interesting?
    3) What's up with your caps lock key?
    4) If you could be any flavor of Jolly Rancher, which flavor would you be?
    5) The world is destroyed tomorrow in a nuclear holocaust. If you could only save one kind of upholstery fabric, what would it be?
  • So, tell us how you REALLY feel there.
  • I might say the same thing about quiz results.

    But I won't.
  • Hey... I didn't post any of those at all and you just took a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge chunk of friends-page space for your li'l rant there, bucko. Please don't do that. Meh.

    Or alternatively...

I REALLY DON'T CARE THAT YOU DON'T LIKE THE SO-CALLED INTERVIEW MEME. GREAT, YOU HAVE A BONE TO PICK? POST IT BEHIND AN LJ CUT. POST IT FRIENDSLISTED. BUT STOP ACTING LIKE I CARE.

    I DON'T.

But I still like you. ;)
  • I REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SO-CALLED INTERVIEW MEME EITHER. GREAT, YOU DON'T EITHER? POST IT BEHIND AN LJ CUT. POST IT FRIENDSLISTED. BUT STOP MAKING MY SCREEN SCROLL IN A WAY WHICH IS, TO ME, 4327489723489237 TIMES MORE IRRITATING THAN JUST SCROLLING PAST THE INTERVIEWS.
  • giggle

    ha!
I love a good temper tantrum in the morning.
really clears the sinuses, doesn't it?
  • Next Sunday at the Caps Lock Forum...Colubra vs. The Mad Spammer in the CAGE.
  • You know, the funny thing is that I did lj-cut my interview memes, and I STILL had to do the scrolling of your rant. Which makes you every bit as bad as the people you're bitching about, congratulations.
    • Oddly enough, I also had it in mind to make this comment.

Oh, and I friendslisted mine, too, as well.
    • Per implicit request,

      the entry's now lj-cut.

now comes the interesting question: have you posted an implicit or explicit request to people filling your friends page with their interview questions?
      • Re: Per implicit request,

Nope. Most of the time, scrolling doesn't bother me. I kind of ignore things I want to ignore. For instance, I never, ever, ever read dream entries. I don't really care what weird things go on in people's heads. I don't much care what weird things go on in MY head after I sleep, but I don't feel I've got the right to tell people to cut their dream entries when it's THEIR journals. :)

Which doesn't mean I have a problem pointing out when things are actually bothering me.
        • Okay, given that:

...since you're not bothered by scrolling, what bothered you that occasioned the comment you made?
          • Re: Okay, given that:

Because it was BIG and BRIGHT, in large, friendly letters, and it distracted me completely. See, if it had been in a normal font, it wouldn't have gotten my attention. I realize that that was the point of using large letters, but since it wasn't meant for the majority of us, it did, get on my nerves a bit. Not quite as much as the interview memes have been getting on your nerves.
  • I'm seriously considering changing my username to fucktardia, now.
  • I do have a set limit on page length in my posts. If it extends beyond an inch of my browser window's height, I lj-cut it. I'll set the cut limit farther back if it's really that much of a bother. Or I'd swear off memes again, though I think that would only remain effective if I had some sort of negative reinforcement preventing me.
    • It's not a huge bother, honestly- I just get very tired of hitting page down to view more interviewmemeage. And then hitting it again for more. and more. and more.
and then getting a post with some content in it that actually relates to someone on my friendslist in a context that relates to me.
And then two more page-down's, a 'previous 15 entries', and then back up to the top.
      Gets old. :)
